Don't stay here if you want to sleep! There seem to be two sides to this hotel. One side faces the street and is beautifully kept and quiet, possibly a 3.5 hotel. The other side faces the airport. You will not get sleep if you you get one of those rooms. There was some noise on Saturday afternoon, but I stayed because I figured Sunday morning would be quiet. It was not!!!!! Planes didn't stop constantly making noise for an hour starting at 8 am. No one tells you that! That's a deal breaker for me. Silly of me to think that I could rest at a hotel. Price line says it is similar to other 3.5 hotels. This is not true! Don't be fooled! Don't stay here!
I found my week and a half stay to be incredibly disappointing. The building looks nice enough from the front. Unfortunately, I got a room directly overlooking the airport in the back and was awoken by 4:00 am dual helicopter landings most every morning. The housekeeping hours seem a bit erratic. One morning I’m woken up at 8:10 to housekeeping banging on my door and the next day they’re knocking on the door at 3:30 in the afternoon. But by far the worst thing about this hotel is the food. Everything was ridiculously overpriced and for the most part disgusting. I had the displeasure of ordering a $28 steak that was ordered rare and delivered well done. The steak also came with mushrooms straight out of a can and some kind of green leaves instead of the asparagus that it’s advertised with. Ultimately, I’ve made the decision to stay at a different hotel next time I’m in the area.
I didn't actually stay the night, my review is about my experience for a Sweet 16 I attended in their ballroom. The room was beautiful and very well taken care of, up to date and modern. The buffet arrangement was great, first time I have attended a function where the buffet was spread into separate station in different parts of the room. Broke up the long lines we wait because of people having the choice to go to the food they were wanting. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive.
The room is nice and clean. The neighborhood is a typical suburban business area like those found near many larger cities. The staff is polite enough, I suppose. I was a little put off by the employee hiding behind a wall behind me during my late evening check-in. I was also a little put off by having to explain to the wait staff at the breakfast buffet that I was a guest and not a freeloader off the street. Finally, the buffet was $17.99 and, I was told after asking, is not complementary. For nearly $20.00, I would expect to see more than what is offered complimentary with a room at what I would think of as lower tier hotels. The stay was nice enough, but I will probably look more carefully at other options in the area next time I travel here.
Nice hotel overall. A bit dated but clean and wonderful service at the front desk. They work hard to make you happy. The hotel surrounds a huge indoor patio with walking areas, restaurant, areas to relax and a small pool. Unfortunately during our visit the elevator closest to our room was out of service and we were forced to hike the stairs with our baby and stroller. Otherwise we were very satisfied with our stay here.
